Facilities and Equipment
The Aberdeen Schools Rowing Association boathouse, on the banks of the River Dee, was purpose built in 2001 and extended in 2015. The ground floor is made up of five boat bays, the upstairs houses a large gym hall for land-training, a social area, kitchen, changing facilities and toilets.
The boat fleet is extensive, with a mix of singles, pairs/doubles, fours/quads (coxed and coxless) and eights/octuples. Predominantly, the beginner and intermediate boats are built by Janousek & Stampfli, with our performance boats built by Empacher.
The gym hall contains about forty Concept2 rowing machines, five Concept2 Dyno machines and a variety of equipment for strength and conditioning. It can also be transformed into a great social space for one of our ceilidhs!
